Editorial Policy & Corrections

How Kidowear selects sources, creates practical examples, attributes contributors, discloses AI assistance and handles substantive corrections.

At a glance

Guides separate primary-source guidance from our own examples. Bylines, publication dates, source links and correction routes remain visible to readers.

Our audience and scope

Kidowear is an independent educational publication for adults caring for toddlers, preschoolers and young school-age children. We cover practical clothing choices, everyday independence, school, play and family routines, alongside general parenting questions.

JULI and MUSK are US-based contributors with experience in children’s apparel. That background supports practical clothing coverage; it does not establish a medical, psychological or developmental qualification. We do not claim an unverified degree, clinical license, institution, interview or number of years of practice.

How we choose and use sources

We prefer original public guidance from relevant government agencies, professional bodies, healthcare or education services, and product makers for their own specifications. Guidance for one country is identified when it matters; US readers should check local school and product requirements.

Source lists link to the actual pages used. Where a source supports a specific safety statement or recommendation, an inline link connects that passage to the source. A cited organization does not become a reviewer, partner or endorser.

We distinguish official requirements, general guidance, a manufacturer’s own information and our editorial suggestions. We do not turn a search-volume estimate into proof that advice is effective. When information is unavailable, we avoid filling the gap with an invented number or claim.

What our examples mean

Schedules, scripts, comparison tables, worksheets and checklists are our planning suggestions unless a source is explicitly named. They are designed to make a task concrete, not to report original experiments, validated screening scores or guaranteed outcomes.

We do not invent parent testimonials, product testing, expert interviews, clinical oversight or success rates. A clothing comparison is not a laboratory test or a product certification. A child who needs assistance is not failing an independence checklist.

Bylines, dates and article structure

Every guide displays its contributor, original publication date and substantive update date. Profiles link to that contributor’s articles. We change the update date for meaningful content revisions rather than on every deployment or minor layout change.

Our articles provide an answer near the start, explain who the guide helps and its limits, give practical examples and link related coverage. This structure helps readers find and assess information; it does not promise search rankings, AI citations or professional review.

AI assistance and editorial limitations

AI tools have assisted with drafting, editing and organization, including the October 2026 content updates. AI output can be inaccurate and is not professional review. Readers can inspect the linked sources and request corrections rather than relying on an implied expert approval.

Articles have not been independently clinically reviewed unless a named reviewer and relevant qualification are shown. We do not add reviewer markup merely because a source is authoritative.

Images and photo sequences

Editorial lifestyle photographs depict fictional AI-generated people and settings. They are not author portraits, reader submissions, evidence of interviews or documented results. Captions explain the illustration or suggested activity.

GIF photo sequences combine generated still images, are labeled as such and start only after a reader selects Play. Product, food and activity images do not replace preparation, supervision or official safety instructions.

Requesting and recording a correction

Email kidowear@gmail.com with the article URL, the relevant passage, what you believe is wrong and a supporting primary source when available. A general description is sufficient; avoid children’s identifying details or medical records.

We assess the concern and amend inaccurate material as appropriate. For a substantive factual correction, the article should explain what changed in a correction note and update its substantive revision date. Minor spelling or formatting fixes do not require a new publication date. We do not promise an acknowledgment or a particular response time.

Advertising and editorial independence

Advertising may support free access. Ads are not recommendations from a contributor, and paid relationships must be disclosed at the point where they matter. The advertising disclosure describes the current implementation and the standards for any future sponsored material.

Guides and printable resources do not require an account, subscription or purchase. The terms explain attributed quotations and noncommercial printing; the privacy policy explains email and site interactions.
