About Kidowear

Warm, practical parenting help — without the fear-mongering or the perfect-parent pressure.

Why we started

Kidowear began with a simple frustration: there is a mountain of good child-development research out there, and almost none of it reaches parents in language they can actually use at 7pm when everything feels hard. Search any parenting question and you'll find either thin, repetitive content or dense academic papers — rarely the calm, practical middle.

So we built that middle. Kidowear takes what experts recommend about tantrums, sleep, screens, big feelings, school readiness and everyday family life, and turns it into warm, doable advice you can try today. Think of us as the knowledgeable friend who talks you down off the ceiling — and hands you one or two things that genuinely help.

What we cover

Our articles are organized into six calm corners of family life. Each one is full of practical, research-aware guides:

What we stand for

Kindness first

We write the way we'd want to be talked to on a hard day — warm, honest, never judgmental.

Grounded in research

Our guidance reflects child-development research, translated into plain, usable language.

Actually useful

Every article answers a real question with steps and examples — no filler, no fluff.

For the whole village

Written for parents, grandparents, teachers and caregivers — everyone raising a child.

A note on trust

Everything here is general guidance written with care — and it is never a substitute for advice from your pediatrician or a licensed professional who knows your child. We'll always tell you when something is worth a call to the doctor. You can read more in our disclaimer.

JULI

Parenting Writer & Author

JULI is the writer behind Kidowear. Based in Miami, Florida, she spent years reading the parenting research that families actually need — on tantrums, sleep, screens, big feelings and school readiness — and noticed how little of it reached parents in plain, usable language. She writes the articles here to fix that. Her writing pairs what child-development experts recommend with the messy reality of raising kids, so parents, teachers and caregivers leave with one or two things they can try today. She believes good parenting advice should feel like a knowledgeable friend talking you down off the ceiling at 7pm — warm, honest, and never judgmental.
